Special Characteristics: Organic Cajeput essential oil is a yellow to green liquid. It has a distinctive aromatic scent, accompanied by fresh eucalyptus notes. The essential oil easily dissolves in alcohol (ethanol), vegetable oils, and other essential oils. It is almost insoluble in water. The main components are 1,8-cineole, alpha-terpineol, pinene, linalool, and limonene.

Organic Cajeput essential oil ages quickly, and the oxidation products can be allergenic. Therefore, special attention should be given to the freshness of the organic essential oil from Cajeput.

Applications: Regarding the use of organic Cajeput essential oil in the medical field, some applications have been observed over time. In the Asian region, organic Cajeput essential oil was considered a panacea for a long time. The Dutch brought the oil to Europe in the 17th century, and it quickly became known for its medicinal properties, especially for infectious diseases and toothaches. Inhalation or use in baths with Cajeput oil presents mucolytic effects for colds and congestion. It also has antibacterial properties, especially against Staphylococcus and Enterococcus, for the skin and mucous membranes.
