Description
Description: Organic Peppermint essential oil is obtained from the entire blooming herb of Peppermint (Mentha spicata) through steam distillation. The yield of essential oil from the plant material is 0.7%.
Special Characteristics: Organic Peppermint essential oil is a colorless to yellow liquid. It has a fresh-cool fragrance accompanied by notes of cumin. It easily dissolves in alcohol (1:1.5, ethanol 80%), vegetable oils, and essential oils, while it is almost insoluble in water. The main component is (R)-carvone, with smaller concentrations of limonene and linalool.
Applications: The ingredients of organic Peppermint essential oil also have medicinal characteristics. As a non-cooling essential oil, Peppermint is suitable for treating colds. It works against acute and chronic bronchitis and acts as an expectorant when applied by inhalation or in the bath oil. Additionally, Peppermint essential oil facilitates digestion and bile flow. Therefore, it can be used for gastritis, nausea, abdominal massage in the urinary bladder area, circulatory issues, wrapping a specific point, or in bath oil. For wounds and injuries, organic Peppermint essential oil can promote wound healing through its epithelial properties when used as massage oil or bath oil. In case of itching, Peppermint essential oil can be used as an ointment or oil to prevent inflammation of affected areas.
In aromatherapy, Peppermint essential oil is used for its balancing and soothing effects. For mental and physical exhaustion, symptoms related to anxiety and general tension, Peppermint essential oil can be used as room fragrance, massage oil, bath oil, or in an aromatherapy bottle. Even in cases of memory loss and lack of concentration, Peppermint essential oil is the ideal solution.
