Description

Description: Organic Eucalyptus (Globulus) essential oil is obtained from the fresh or dried leaves and tips of the Blue Gum Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus) through steam distillation. The yield of essential oil from the plant material is between 1.2 and 3%.

Special Characteristics: Organic Eucalyptus essential oil is a colorless to light yellow and sometimes greenish liquid. It has a characteristic fresh and spicy aroma reminiscent of camphor. Eucalyptus essential oil dissolves easily in alcohol (1:3, ethanol), vegetable oils, and other essential oils. It is almost insoluble in water. The main components are limonene, 1.8-cineole, and isomeric pinenes. P-cymene and gamma-terpinene are present in smaller quantities.

Applications: The components of organic Eucalyptus essential oil have medicinal characteristics. Indigenous people in Australia have known about the effects of Eucalyptus, along with tea tree, for a long time. Chewed leaves were placed on fresh wounds to promote better healing. The key component 1.8-cineole, in combination with other active ingredients, facilitates its rapid absorption by the skin with a coefficient of 95.

The classic use of organic Eucalyptus essential oil (Globulus) is as an expectorant (mucolytic) in the bronchial area. It is also referred to as “oil for colds.” In the case of bronchopneumonia (a particular pulmonary inflammation that mainly affects the bronchial tubes), its use is recommended through inhalation and rubbing.

Organic Eucalyptus essential oil also has powerful antibacterial action. Depending on how it is taken, either as a topical application, inhalation, or as an antibiotic, it fights different bacteria each time. Its use is also recommended against Impetigo (bacterial skin disease that causes large sores), which is very dangerous in children. Similarly, the oil acts against fungi (fungicidal action). Infections from Candida, especially those caused by fungi that are a strain of Candida, are treated with Eucalyptus-containing antibiotics. The essential oil of Eucalyptus (Globulus) has a strong anti-inflammatory action and is used as a plaster, extract, bath oil, and through inhalation. It also acts as an antispasmodic and has a positive effect against arthritis (inflammatory joint disease).

Aromatherapy uses organic Eucalyptus essential oil to enhance concentration and mental stimulation. It also helps combat lethargy. It is preferable to apply it through aromatherapy and as bath or massage oil.

CAUTION: Always use diluted in a base oil or other solvent.
