Description

**Description:** Organic Chili essential oil is derived from the processing of the seeds of the Capsicum annuum plant, which is endemic to certain regions of North and South America. In reality, it is a type of “hot” pepper. The extract of organic Chili essential oil is produced by extracting supercritical fluids with natural carbon dioxide and then standardized by adding organic rapeseed oil.

**Special Characteristics:** Organic Chili essential oil contains **3.1% total capsaicinoids** (including nordihydrocapsaicin, capsaicin, dihydrocapsaicin) and 0.6 – 1.0% carotenoids (beta-carotene, capsanthin, capsorubin).

**Applications in Cosmetics:** Organic Chili essential oil is used to relieve muscle pain, such as back pain, and is added to herbal medicines and heating gels for external use. It is also known to relieve frostbite, arthritis, hoarseness, and sore throat. In cosmetics, organic Chili essential oil is used in conditioners and perfumes.

**Applications in Food:** Organic Chili essential oil gives foods and beverages a warm spicy flavor. Today, a significant number of clinical studies provide substantial evidence that daily consumption of capsaicinoids contributes to weight management by reducing energy intake.
