**Description:** Organic Palmarosa essential oil is obtained from the leaves of the plant (Cymbopogon martinii) through steam distillation. The yield of essential oil from the plant mass is approximately 1.5%.

**Special Characteristics:** Organic Palmarosa essential oil is a yellowish liquid. It has a sweet, fruity aroma with rose notes. Organic Palmarosa essential oil dissolves easily in alcohol (1:2 ethanol 70%), vegetable oils, and other essential oils. It is almost insoluble in water. The main component of organic Palmarosa essential oil is geraniol. Geranyl acetate, linalool, citral, limonene, and estragole are included in lower concentrations.

**Applications:** Regarding the use of organic Palmarosa essential oil in the medical field, some applications have been observed over time. In Indian medicine, organic Palmarosa essential oil has been used for a long time primarily for skin care. Recent studies have shown that organic Palmarosa essential oil has a broad antibacterial spectrum and is widely used in skin diseases such as acne or eczema, where it can be applied to the affected areas. Additionally, organic Palmarosa essential oil is effective against fungi (urethritis, cystitis, vaginitis, cervicitis, salpingitis) and viruses (enteritis, bronchitis, myringitis, otitis, rhinopharyngitis, pharyngitis). In functional cardiac disorders, if organic Palmarosa essential oil is placed on the chest, it has a cardiotonic action.

In aromatherapy, organic Palmarosa essential oil is used because of its stimulating and invigorating characteristics. Especially for fears, mental fatigue from stress, or nervousness, the use of an aromatic lamp, massage, as a bath oil, or in massage blends is recommended. Organic Palmarosa essential oil also acts as an antidepressant when used in an aromatic lamp or in oil blends for massage. At the same time, it has a refreshing effect in the air.
