**Description:** Organic Swiss stone pine essential oil is obtained from the needles and twigs of the Swiss Stone Pine tree in Central Europe (Pinus cembra) through steam distillation. All spruce needle oils easily produce peroxides upon contact with oxygen and are therefore quite sensitive. Therefore, the freshness of the essential oil is very important.

**Special Characteristics:** Organic Swiss stone pine essential oil is usually a colorless to yellow liquid. It has a cool, resinous smell accompanied by slightly bitter notes. The essential oil dissolves easily in alcohol (ethanol), vegetable oils, and essential oils. It hardly dissolves in water. The main constituents are pinene, limonene, and camphene.

**Applications:** Organic Swiss stone pine essential oil is used in alternative medicine with a long tradition. The pine essential oil is mainly used in respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, runny nose) as an inhalation and for external application.
